About Utrition

Who we are, why we built this, and how we stay honest.

Who built this

Utrition was built by Pierson Riley — a developer who got frustrated with the supplement industry. Every “personalized quiz” was really just a funnel to sell one company's products. The recommendations were driven by margins, not evidence. So I built the tool I wanted for myself: one that recommends ingredients and doses based on research, not brand deals.

Our mission

Give anyone a personalized, evidence-based supplement plan — for free, with no brand bias. We recommend specific ingredients, forms, and doses. You buy from whatever brand you trust. We think that's how supplement guidance should work.

How we make recommendations

Every recommendation is grounded in peer-reviewed research — human clinical trials, systematic reviews, and meta-analyses. We assign evidence grades, note when data is limited, and never rely on manufacturer claims. For the full breakdown, see how we write.

How we stay free

When you choose to buy supplements through links on your plan, we may earn a small affiliate commission. This funds development and keeps the tool free. Our recommendations are based entirely on independent research — what you're told to take is never influenced by what earns us revenue. We'll always be transparent about this.

What we don't do

Utrition is not medical advice. We don't diagnose, treat, or prescribe. We summarize the best available evidence so you can make informed decisions — ideally in conversation with your doctor or dietitian.
